Wessex Lifts Group Communications Ambassador, Kerry Daley, answers all your questions about home lifts, and why it could be the perfect solution for you.
Business as usual for Wessex Lifts?
Classed as an "essential service" Wessex lifts in Romsey, Hampshire have been open and ready for business throughout the pandemic supporting the UK's most vulnerable customers.
What is it that you do?
We help people stay independent in their own home. Whether you are registered disabled or find it difficult to get up and down the stairs we have a solution to fit your needs.
We offer a wide range of through the floor home lifts and platform lifts, which can be installed inside or out. We have lots of flexibility in sizes so we can fit pretty much any size of home or garden.
Where are your products made?
Wessex have been designing and manufacturing our products at our facility in Romsey, Hampshire for over 40 years.
What are the benefits of having a homelift?
Being able to stay in your own home and move around at your own leisure is, we think, the most important benefit of our products.
The fact that they are easy to use, of great quality, affordable, have a wide range of safety features and they come in many different colours, sizes and designs, seems immaterial.
What is the order process?
You will be visited by one of our friendly and knowledgeable Area Sales Managers who will take measurements, discuss size options, give you a price and leave you in peace, to make your decision.
Once the order is placed, we do all the hard work. We arrange the builders, the electricians and organise a suitable installation date.
Does it take long to install?
No, a typical installation will take 1 - 2 days.
What if I move home?
If you want to move home, no problem. The process is simple, the lift can be removed, the floor filled in, and the lift reinstated in a new location. You might consider leaving the lift behind though, as a through-floor lift can increase the value of your property.
