A through-floor lift is a type of home lift or elevator that runs on a track going through a hole in the ceiling (called the aperture). Unlike passenger lifts, this type of lifts has many advantages that make it more suitable for domestic use, including;
Cost, these lifts are generally less expensive than traditional passenger lifts
Installation time, these lifts are quick and easy to install (our through floor lifts take around a day or two)
No need for a dedicated elevator shaft, our lifts can be placed virtually anywhere in the home
No need for a pit (although our lifts can be fitted with them)
Sized according to your requirements, our through floor homelifts come in a variety of sizes, with some being able for multiple users, some being able to fit wheelchairs, and some are great as an alternative to a traditional stair lift
Quiet - our home lifts run on a very quiet hydraulic system
Wessex offer 3 types of through floor home lift, the VM Open Home Lift, the VE Enclosed Home Lift and the Elesse Luxury Home Lift. All of these lifts have their advantages, but get in contact and speak to our Customer Care Team about which lift is right for your situation.
